1. What is a Marriott Honeymoon Gift Registry?
A Marriott Honeymoon Gift Registry is very similar to a traditional Gift Registry you see at department stores. Instead of registering for fine china and household items, couples can register for services to make up their dream Marriott honeymoon.

The couple can select gifts from four Marriott Categories: Hotel Accommodations, Food & Beverages, Activities, and Merchandise. What a wonderful opportunity for guests to participate in creating a dream honeymoon for the happy couple!

2. Is there a fee to use this service?
Unlike many other honeymoon gift registries, there is no service charge, registration fee, or transaction fee to use or make purchases through the Marriott Honeymoon Gift Registry.

3. How do I find a couple’s Marriott Gift Registry?
Log on to MarriottRegistry.com. Look for the section titled, “Give a Gift.” Then, simply enter the first and last name of the bride or groom in the search fields. The system will present you with the closest matches. You can also ask the couple for their personal registry URL. This convenient address will take you directly to the couple’s Marriott Gift Registry.

4. How do I make a purchase?
First, review the Marriott Gift Registry that the couple has set up. You will see they have broken up their honeymoon into “services.” These “services” are the gifts that you can purchase for them. Once you decide which gifts to purchase, add these items to your shopping cart and follow the simple checkout procedure. We offer a Verisign secure site so you can be completely confident using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Diners Club.

At the completion of your purchase, you will be provided with a confirmation number for your transaction. The total value of your gift purchase will automatically be loaded onto the couple’s Marriott GiftCard within 24 hours of your purchase. The couple will be sent an email notifying them of your gift purchase. They will also be able to track all gifts received online by logging in to their Marriott Honeymoon Gift Registry account.

2. Does it cost anything to join?
Unlike many other Honeymoon Gift Registry services, it does not cost you anything to use the Marriott Honeymoon Gift Registry! There are no hidden charges, registration, service, or transaction fees invoiced. This is a free services for both the couple and wedding guests.

3. How do I get started?
Getting started is easy! Simply log on to MarriottRegistry.com and locate the section titled “Create Your Registry.” Click on “Learn More” for additional information regarding the Marriott Gift Registry and how it works.

First, to set up your registry, you will need to provide your name and email address, select a user name and password, and mailing address. Then you will be directed to select your services from four Marriott Categories: Hotel Accommodations, Food & Beverages, Activities, and Merchandise. Simply click on the items that you would like to include and add these items to your registry. Not sure what items to choose? Don’t worry! You will be able to update your registry, select more items, change quantities, and remove items through your online registry manager.

The third step includes your wedding date and location information. You will also be able to include a personal greeting and photo that will appear to your guests when they view your registry.

Simply confirm your information and you have completed the registration process. All you need to do now is make sure you have registered for all the services you need to make up your dream honeymoon. After you have confirmed that you are registered for everything you need, simply notify guests of your registry. That is it! Very simple and fun to use!

4. How do I break up my Marriott Honeymoon into gift segments?
The Marriott Honeymoon Gift Registry makes it very simple to break down your honeymoon into items/services that your guests can purchase.

You will be able to pick and choose from the pre-determined list of Marriott services and merchandise. The registry provides many different service options within the top Marriott categories for Hotel Accommodations, Food & Beverages, Activities, and Merchandise. These services range anywhere from a seven-night stay with breakfast in bed to a full-day spa package following a golf lesson for two. Still not sure what to register for? Marriott also provides suggestions for the most popular items within each category. Guests will also have the option to give Marriott spending “Cash” in a dollar amount of their choice. You are sure to find services that can be incorporated into your ideal Marriott honeymoon as well as accommodate the varied budget of your guests.

5. How do I notify my Guests of my Honeymoon Gift Registry?
You can notify your guests of your new Marriott Gift Registry in three different ways:

Option #1: Marriott Honeymoon Gift Registry Announcement cards: After you have completed the registration process, you will be mailed 100 Free Marriott Honeymoon Gift Registry Cards. You can include these cards with your bridal shower or wedding invitations so your friends and family members know that you have created a Marriott Gift Registry. If you require more registry cards, you will also be able to download a PDF of the cards and print as many as you need from your own printer. We suggest using a nice card stock and setting your printer to the highest quality print setting.

Option #2: Email Announcement: You can send an automated email directly to your guests using our simple online form. This email will let your guests know that you have created a Marriott Honeymoon Gift Registry, explain this service and provide a link inviting them to view your Marriott Gift Registry.

6. How can I see if any gifts have been purchased?
You will receive an automatic email notification every time a purchase is made on your Marriott Gift Registry. This email will include the details of the purchase, the guest’s information and a link to view your registry. At any time you can view gifts received when you log on to your account on MarriottRegistry.com. Simply access your account by entering your user name and password. You will be directed to your registry home page. Locate the link “Thank You Manager” on the left navigation. This manager will display all gifts that have been purchased to date. You will be able to see the guest’s name, a description of each item they purchased, the date of purchase, and any special comments or greetings the guest submitted when they made their purchase. We even provide a field for you to enter the date you sent your Thank You card!

7. When and how will I receive my gifts?
Once you receive the your first gift contribution, your Marriott Honeymoon Card will be shipped to the address that you listed in your profile. (So, if you are creating your registry close to your wedding date and your wedding is going to be out of town, be sure to keep that in mind. You may need to call us and specify an alternated ship to address.) This card is just like cash. So, keep it in a very safe place. This card will be linked to your Marriott Gift Registry account. The card will start off with a balance of $0.00 and will automatically be loaded with the cash value of gifts received as guests make purchases from your registry. Your GiftCard balance will be updated within 24 hours of each transaction! You can easily check your GiftCard balance by logging on to your registry at MarriottRegistry.com. No waiting for gifts, no hassle of wondering if your gifts are shipped or lost in the mail. All gifts are in your “hands” as purchases are made, no matter where you are!

You can use the GiftCard for services or merchandise anytime at any Marriott-brand hotel worldwide. That gives you the flexibility to enjoy items selected by your guests or to enjoy other available Marriott-related items.

8. How long will my Honeymoon Gift Registry remain active?
Guests can view and make purchases toward your Honeymoon Gift Registry starting the day you first set up your Registry and up to 180 days after your wedding date.

9. How do I inform my Guests that my Honeymoon Gift Registry is on hold?
If you should place your Honeymoon Gift Registry on hold and would like to keep your guests informed about your registry status, we suggest updating your message through the Modify Wedding Details section of your registry. When a guest views your Honeymoon Gift Registry this message along with your registry status will be displayed to them.

10. What are the GiftCard Terms & Conditions?
Card is not replaceable if lost, stolen, or destroyed. Card is not redeemable for cash and change will not be returned. Card value may not be transferred to another card. Card value does not expire. Card becomes inactive at the earlier of (a) the use of all value or (b) the posted renewal date. Upon request Marriott will replace card with a new card having an equivalent remaining value anytime after the posted renewal date. Card cannot be used to guarantee a room reservation, but may be used as payment at checkout. Card is not valid for catering, non-commissionable rates or reservations made using a travel agency. Card is a prepaid card, not a credit card, and is the property of and issued by MI Fulfillment Services, LLC. Each transaction will be debited against card balance; if transaction exceeds balance, user must pay the difference. To check balance call 1-800-442-6132. Account balance information outside the US and Canada: Use the AT&T Direct® access number for the country you are calling from in conjunction with 800-442-6132.
